In the Mood for Movies

Right around this time of year — just when things are starting to get wet and dreary — I’m overcome with an intense urge.

The urge to watch Pride and Prejudice.

I don’t know what it is about this weather that makes me yearn for this classic drama, but since first seeing the film, every year without fail, I’ve found myself drawn to watching it in the middle of the gloomiest of days.

Do your favorite movies have a season? Here are some of my favorites and when during the year I find myself watching them.

And if you haven’t ever listened to the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack by Dario Marianelli, it has to be one of my favorite albums of all time. Each song is utterly, breathtakingly beautiful.
