Summer Reads Part Two: At the Beach

When I go to the beach, I like light, airy reads. Books that are fun, that make me laugh. Sometimes they aren’t the most well written books (though sometimes they are!), but reading Tolstoy or Dickens is almost inappropriate for sand and sun.

If you haven’t already read Bossypants, you have a lot of ‘splaining to do, because it is HILARIOUS and honestly the longer you wait the less funny it’s going to be. Something Borrowed is also one of my most favorite “chick-lit” novels. It is the pure definition of “light and fun,” though you can skip skip SKIP the movie (spoiler alert: it’s not anywhere near as cute as you want it to be). And as I’ve already stated, I loved The Art of Fielding.

Happy lounging!
