Bag Love

I know these posts are short and sweet, but I’m a busy lady! Tonight I have my first ever work party! I’m still on the prowl for a work appropriate bag and I think I’ve fallen  little bit in love for this one (by Ivanka Trump of all people!). I think its lovely. Totally the right size, has both a shoulder strap and handles. I can totally see myself with this bag. I haven’t given up on a vintage American Tourister, but this one might just steal my heart instead.

I also want to do a little Happy Birthday shout out to the always lovely Leigh, one of my very best friends who made me blush over Skype last week when she told me she expects me to be in her future wedding. It was surprisingly touching! She is the best :)

Kate Spade

I’m not typically the biggest fan of Kate Spade. One of my best friends works there and another worships them, but I’ve never really gotten it. As my mom would say, they can be a little “twee” for my taste. I also find some of their purses really boxy and plasticine looking. I don’t enjoy hard leathers. That being said, I’m floored by their new collection and hate them for being so freakin expensive.

Some of my favorites:

I will promise you my first born child if you give me that purse with the bow.  This little shopping spree would cost me about four months in rent. It is a cruel world.

Apparently last week was photo montage week and this week is fashion pining week, ah well.

Also, is Gap in financial trouble? They seem to constantly be having a sale.

Sweet Summer Dresses

Are you dreaming of summer? I sure am. If I had a spare sixty dollars (which I don’t) I’m not really sure which of these beauties I would buy. They’re all so lovely.

The second one reminds me of The Artist. Have you seen it? I loooooooved it AND the Oscars are this weekend!! Not going to lie, my favorite part about the Oscars is the fashion.

Black and White Stripes.

I don’t know about you, but I definitely fall into the category of “bargain hunter.” I want what I want at the price I want.

Is this maybe a wee bit demanding? Yes. But rarely do I buy something that I don’t wear and later regret. I am not in any way an “impulse buyer.” Purchasing my first home will be an interesting experience.

This dress, breaking the small student budget at $87.26,  is completely lovely. This is where it becomes difficult. Lovely yes, but worth $87.26? Which is effectively two weeks of food? I won’t even be able to wear it for at least another four months. For now, until I win the lottery, I’ll admire from afar.

Good Day Sir!

So normally I don’t post on Saturday because I have things to do and I’m sure you lovely people have things to do besides sit on the internet all day (maybe not, no judgment), but yesterday was a little bit crazy. I always spend Canadian Thanksgiving with Nate’s family who live in a mid-sized city outside of Toronto. After my class I had to rush to the bus station to catch a bus out, which conveniently put me right in the middle of rush hour (which should really be called rush-three-hour because that’s how long I was on this bus).

But I’m here now and the scones I made were delicious! Plus, Nate’s parents have cable, a rare luxury in the life of a poor university student.

In the spirit of thanksgiving, falling leaves and pumpkin pie, here are 5 Fabulous Fall Boots (all of which I would be most thankful to receive!).

1. b.o.c by Born Leighton Boot

I want these the most, I think they’re SO lovely. Ugh I would wear them always.

2. Kamlik Rain Boots

I actually own a pair of these babies in that green color above and I LOVE them. They are unbeliavably comfortable and great quality for a pretty reasonable price (made in Canada too!). They come in a lovely array of colors and run a bit small (order a size larger), so they aren’t great if you have big calves, but I would highly recommend them.

3. Beatrice Riding Boots by Jessica Simpson

Nothing beats a great riding boot.

5. Michael Antonio Solange

I’ve been thinking about these boots a lot. I think they would be a pretty good alternative to the ones at the top, but is the heel too high? I think the heel might be too high…

Have a lovely weekend! and happy thanksgiving to all :)
