Grilled Cheese

So I’m basically out of my mind busy with school. My cup runneth over with essays and readings. This is an old story, one I’ve told before, but never the less it’s true.

We’re going to be a little spotty with the consistency here so here is a really yummy sounding grilled cheese sandwich recipe that some other more dedicated blogger (cupofjo) posted today that I am going to pass onto you.

Recipe: Sweet Grilled Cheese

You’ll need:
Multigrain bread
Nutella
Pear
Brie
Salted butter

Spread a layer of Nutella on the bread. Top with thinly sliced pears and brie. Butter both sides of the bread. Grill until the outside is toasted brown and the cheese is melty.

Now, who wants to bring this to me in library? Any takers?!

I didn’t think so.

Enjoy your Wednesday (oh god it’s already Wednesday…) and the snow (were applicable).

The Oscars

These were my favorite looks of the night

I didn’t love Gweneth Paltrow’s dress, but these picture of her is really stunning.

Drizzle

Ugh it is so gross outside today. It’s oscillating between rain, rainy-snow and real snow.

One of the big differences between California winters and Toronto winters (besides the actual snow) is that Toronto winters are dry, meaning you can escape the cold through lots of layers. California winters, on the other hand, are damp, meaning that on really cold days, the dampness basically seeps into your every bone and all you want to do is stay in bed.

That’s what Toronto is like today: damp.

Ah well,  I guess I’ll just have to stay inside all day today and not go the library. Bummer.

Kate Spade

I’m not typically the biggest fan of Kate Spade. One of my best friends works there and another worships them, but I’ve never really gotten it. As my mom would say, they can be a little “twee” for my taste. I also find some of their purses really boxy and plasticine looking. I don’t enjoy hard leathers. That being said, I’m floored by their new collection and hate them for being so freakin expensive.

Some of my favorites:

I will promise you my first born child if you give me that purse with the bow.  This little shopping spree would cost me about four months in rent. It is a cruel world.

Apparently last week was photo montage week and this week is fashion pining week, ah well.

Also, is Gap in financial trouble? They seem to constantly be having a sale.

Berkeley

Oh boy, Nathan got into UC Berkeley last night!

So now we have some big big decisions to make… why is life so so complicated?
